Component 2: Research Proposal

This assessment introduces the basic terminologies and content of research proposal. Individually, a Research Proposal of a selected area of research in architecture is produced. The literature review will be the basis for the identifying research problem and research questions. The area of investigation relates to the design and pragmatic sides of architecture and could be chosen from narrowing down whats is found in the literature review. The choice and positioning of exploration of the roles of research, such as “Research into Design”, “Research through Design” and “Research for Design”, is made at this stage of the course work. The proposal is a research plan that will continue into the final assessment in the form of a Research Paper
