In the first project for the subject building materials, we are required to design and build any shape given from the brief which must be within 12”X12”X12. We should also choose and use any 3 of the materials as listed where 1 of it should be a transparent material. 

I have chosen the triangular-based pyramid (tetrahedron) as my shape and wire mesh, balsa wood, and plastic sheet as my materials. 

REFLECTION:

From the project, I have learnt to recognize how intrinsic forms, limitations and boundaries of a material become factors in design process. I am also able to express a material within its contextual application.
